As the product of a collaboration between our team and Technip Energies’ Advanced Materials & Catalysts business , we have successfully completed our first 10 kg production run of Cascade Bio's proprietary Body Armor for Enzymes™ immobilization resin.
Building the Foundation
Over the past several years, Technip Energies has been an important partner as we've developed our immobilization resins starting from milligrams.
Their expertise in silica materials and industrial manufacturing, and their hands-on collaboration in tuning support properties to our coating chemistry, has provided a scalable foundation for our platform.
The Technip Energies team contributes deep experience developing and manufacturing silica materials at scale. Cascade Bio contributes proprietary immobilization chemistry designed to expand the range of enzymes that can be deployed in demanding manufacturing environments.
Neither capability replaces the other. Together, we create something greater than either could achieve independently.
Why 10 kg Matters
A successful 10 kg production campaign represents far more than producing additional material.
Every increase in manufacturing scale introduces new challenges. Materials must remain consistent. Processes must become more robust. Quality expectations become more demanding. Manufacturing transitions from laboratory experimentation toward repeatable production.
