Frequently asked questions
Tell us about your enzyme and your process. We'll get you a real answer, not a sales pitch.
What exactly do I get for $1,000?
One gram each of six unique enzyme immobilization resins, plus our proprietary linker for stable, tunable covalent attachment. This kit includes a thorough protocol, troubleshooting tips and tricks, a safety data sheet, buffers, reagents, and access to our immobilization experts. This price includes shipping & handling, and we typically ship within a week of receiving your order.
Do I need a polyhistidine-tag on my enzyme?
No. Our approach uses a proprietary titratable linker that can be titrated in to achieve the perfect amount of stable covalent attachment without activity loss. Non-covalent attachments, including affinity tags, tend to leach over time. Our covalent approach ensures high reusability of your enzyme with minimal leaching.
How long does a screening run take?
The kit includes a linker optimization step and a resin optimization step. Each takes about an hour of hands-on time plus an overnight incubation, so plan on two days. Shorter immobilizations are possible, with slightly reduced enzyme loading.
What happens after I find a resin that works?
We offer each resin in larger quantities and particle sizes to match your reactor. Contact us for a quote. We'll be your partners in getting your biocatalytic process to scale.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We’ve shipped our resins across four continents and counting.
