Invitrogen is a leading bioscience company specializing in normal human cell culture and related technologies. We are the established provider of choice in research laboratories and biomanufacturing settings the world over.
Our emphasis on customer service is consistently recognized as unmatched by any other provider.
At Invitrogen, we develop innovative products and services tailored to meet a wide range of applications and needs in both commercial and academic settings. Our emphasis on customer service is consistently recognized as unmatched by any other provider.
Our current emphasis is on developing defined, animal product-free culture systems for a variety of cell types. Animal-derived components such as serum, organ extracts, and purified proteins are widely used as supplements to cell culture media for the growth of mammalian cells in vitro. However, for certain applications it is desirable to eliminate such components from the culture environment. Invitrogen is a leader in the effort to reduce or eliminate animal-derived components from cell culture systems.
In addition to a well-established array of human cell types and culture media, we also provide custom preparations and configurations designed to meet specific research and budget requirements. Contact us for more information.
This facility for Primary Cell Culture operations was originally Cascade Biologics (est. 1992) and was acquired by Invitrogen April 15, 2007. Currently headquartered in Portland, Oregon, USA, home to Cascade’s original R&D and manufacturing operations.
